Partnerships
Active City Journal considers partnerships that fit urban recreation and help readers understand places, activities or ways to take part. Proposals are reviewed for relevance, clarity and a suitable distinction between partner and editorial material.
Possible collaborations
We consider clearly scoped collaborations such as reader-facing explainers, themed editorial projects and event or activity listings with useful context. A proposal should say who it serves, what it would contain, how it would be funded and what involvement is requested.
Partner placements
We may accept clearly labelled partner placements that appear across the site, including placements alongside relevant sections or article pages. Placement does not imply endorsement, and partners cannot buy control over independent editorial decisions.
Labelling and review
Partner-supported work and placements are identified in plain language. We review submitted material for fit, clarity and claims that readers could mistake for independent reporting. We may decline proposals that are unclear, unsuitable or ask for editorial guarantees.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page and select partnership as the reason for writing. Include the proposed format, audience, timing, funding or support, and any links or materials needed to assess the idea.
An active city is made by taking part
We look beyond facilities to the people, habits and shared spaces that make activity part of city life. Every entry point counts, whether you arrive ready to play or simply curious.
